MCV Community Garden

Virginia Commonwealth University's MCV Campus Community Garden, initiated in 2012 by a VCU student group, is located on the east side of the Larrick Student Center. The MCV Community Garden consists of 14 raised beds and two wheelchair accessible beds with over 1,300 square feet of combined growing space. These beds are further divided into smaller plots for the needs of the individual gardeners.

VCU and VCU Health students and employees, as well as community members, can rent plots by the semester or year with plot rental cost depending on size. Plots usually become available at the end of a semester, though students and employees can be added to the waitlist.

The garden can also be used for events and meetings and class visits educate students about food access and other topics.

To inquire about plot rental and availability; using the garden for an event, meeting or class; or to learn more about healthy eating, food access, urban gardening and farming; and more, email learningarden@vcu.edu.
